Miko & the Smokin' J's consist of three musicians: Miko Fossum, Jim Rowan, and Johnny Defever.
Miko Fossum: holding down the rhythm with guitar & vocals, Miko blends the heartfelt storytelling of traditional folk with a contemporary twist. Her potent voice weaves tales of emotion & experience, capturing the spirit of the songs while infusing them with her own unique flair.
Jim Rowan: a versatile instrumentalist, classically trained, Jim adds depth and excitement switching effortlessly from guitar, mandolin, keys & bass. This coupled with powerful vocals he brings an electrifying energy to every performance.
Johnny Defever: as a superb lead guitarist Johnny is comfortable playing a variety of styles from Rockabilly & Jazz to the Blues with high improvisational energy.
With their combined talents & infectious energy, and wide range of influences, Miko, Jim & Johnny create a fresh take on the old & the new creating a harmonious multigenerational musical experience.
